A Beauty Chat

Wow, thank goodness EOFY is over – such a crazy time – but I guess that also means the year is half over, we’re in July already! There have been lots of new things arriving on the beauty front lately, and products to share so let’s get into it. First up, I need to mention the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand as it’s the most incredible contouring product I’ve ever used, and I’ve used a looottttt over the years. It’s so creamy and blendable, yet easily buildable, and gives the most natural flawless contour ever, period. Try it, I promise you won’t regret it – it’s worth the splurge. *Cult Beauty gives Australians free shipping on on all orders over £40, which is about $70odd AUD dollars roughly.

After recently falling in love with Clinique’s Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm, I was reminded how much my skin loves it when I double cleanse of an evening, especially with an oil based product. This little guy dissolves makeup almost instantly upon contact without leaving a sticky residue, and is working an absolute treat alongside my current cleanser in Paula’s Choice CALM Redness Relief Cleanser for Normal to Oily Skin. Actually this cleanser also deserves a mention, as it’s so light and milky yet really gives the skin a good cleanse – so if you’re slightly sensitive or prone to redness, investigate this one. Ooo, I also want to mention Clinique’s Fresh Pressed Serum + Activator that works to brighten, even and retexturize skin when 2 drops are mixed in with moisturiser morning and night, which I’ve used in the past and also rediscovered its power recently.

After speaking of my love for Aveda in a recent post, I wanted to give a shoutout to the damage remedy daily hair repair for the protection of my locks it gives from heat styling but also its ability to detangle, therefore reducing further damage to my mop. I’ll ramble on about the Aveda scent all day long, but seriously, try the travel sets and you’ll know what I’m on about.

Just last night I gave in to all the hype and placed an order at Sephora for the It Cosmetics CC Cream in the shade Light, which I hope matches my skin tone, so do stay tuned for my first impressions and review of that once it arrives. And just because I’m excited, I want to share that Bobbi Brown Australia recently reposted my image of their Hydrating Face Cream, which must mean I’m doing something right – not bad for an iPhone 8!
